Logline from IMDb:Larry spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.

Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Family

Age Range: 10-18. There are a lot of silly moments that I think work well for the younger crowd and there is also a more serious and dangerous theme that I think works really well for the older crowd. It also touches on Larry's son making the decision what to do when he is finished with High School. Very relateable. Adults will appreciate it too since a lot of the references will only be understood by adults.

Special Effects: A+. Wow. These were really impressive! There were only a few times where it was really obvious that it was effects, but I am alway impressed at how things like broken statues, metal figurines, paintings, etc look so believably real in the Night at the Museum films.

I don't want to list all of the effects since some of them are really exciting, but my favorite was when Ahkmenrah begins to re-mummify. It is really incredible what the do with his face and eyes... it gave me chills!

Dialogue: I was really nervous about seeing this film. In the trailers that I watched it seemed as though it was going to be really heavy with Rebel Wilson's awkward ramblings and Larry dealing with his clone caveman self. But that wasn't the case at all. I love Rebel Wilson, don't get me wrong, but she looses her effect for me if there is too much of her. Same with Ben Stiller. I used to really dislike his films, but he has really started to create rich and interesting films that show and tell so much about human nature. His character deals with a lot in this film. His big break falls apart, his son doesn't want to go to college, all of his friends are in danger of loosing the magic that brings them to life every night... it's a lot!

But this film, though loaded with familiar faces and incredible characters, is really well paced. The characters have really intersting relationships with each other and work really well as a team towards their goal.

This was a really nice way to wrap up the series. I am really pleased with how they ended things and I really hope that anyone else who liked the rest of the films will give this one the time it deserves.

Reminds me of: "Finding Nemo," and only because of the father-son relationship. Larry's son is growing up and he is afraid to let him do what he wants. The beginning when the tablet is found looks just like the beginning of "The Mummy." It's really beautiful and incredibly done.

Actor Skyler Gisondo, who play's Larry's son, is a suprising new actor. I haven't seen him in anything else before but he reminds me of many of the popular actors today like Miles Teller and Sylar Astin (maybe it's in the name). He has the same quick and dry whit that I love.

Give it a try if this sounds like something you might like and please let me know what YOU think!

Also... How cute is this monkey! This picture is from the premier.

I also just want to take a moment to send my love out to Robin Williams. He will always be one of my favorite actors. He brought laughter and joy to me through his films and his wild personality. I will forever miss him. I love that the character he played in these films as Teddy Roosevelt was really a reflection of the quiet, wise side of him that we rarely got to see. Thank you for all you gave us Mr. Williams. <3

This film can currently be rented at Redbox or purchased from any major film retailer.
